That’s pretty much exactly what went through my mind the first time I heard about Fat Loss 4 Idiots. It seemed like just another fad diet program that made promises that were bigger than it could actually deliver. You know - if it sounds too good to be true it usually is, right?
It’s really no wonder that we are skeptical about anything having to do with weight loss since there are so many crappy diets out there that just don’t work and the last thing anyone wants to do is blow their hard earned money on something that turns out to be a scam.
At the same time the temptation of any diet that promises easy weight loss is hard to ignore so if you are at all like me you’re probably wondering
That’s why I decided to learn more about Fat Loss for Idiots - to find out if it really works and how it is different than other diets. I’ve been overweight most of my life so I have a real interest in weight loss and dieting. I’ve tried it all and wanted to see how Fat Loss for Idiots measured up to other programs that were out there.
My Fat Loss 4 Idiots review will take a look at what exactly makes the diet unique, whether or not it works, how much weight you can really lose and if it is a legitimate program or not. I set out to expose Fat Loss for Idiots as a scam and prove that it wouldn’t work…
The first thing I did was start searching for complaints about the diet in forums or chat rooms. That’s where people are the most honest and where you can usually get the real story about a diet since people who post to forums have nothing to gain by talking about a diet program.
Not surprisingly, I did find complaints about Fat Loss 4 Idiots - but they weren’t what I was expecting to hear.
I thought people were going to say that they had tried the diet and hadn’t lost weight or that it didn’t work. To my surprise, though, nobody was complaining about not losing weight. Instead, the biggest complaints that I heard were about the name of the diet and about online support.
A lot of people seem to find the name "Fat Loss 4 Idiots" offensive because they don’t want to be labeled an "idiot". I’ll admit that it’s not the greatest name for a diet, but at the same time it gets the point across that it’s so easy even an idiot could do it, right? At any rate, I didn’t see that as a really legitimate complaint.
The other complaint I saw mentioned a couple of times was that some people wanted to be able to get one-on-one support and didn’t seem to think it was fair that the diet came without that option. Now, I do understand where those people are coming from, but at the same time I don’t know if that is really a legitimate complaint.
Think about it this way - have you ever bought a diet book from a bookstore? Did you have a chance to email or call the author directly and ask them for one-on-one help? Chances are that you didn’t, right? I don’t see this as being any different.
Let’s face it - if the people who made Fat Loss for Idiots had to spend time hand-holding with everyone who got they diet they would have to charge a lot more for it so in a way it is good that they don’t have individual support or the price would be a lot higher than it is. Plus you can get all the support you need from forums and chat rooms.
The thing that struck me most, though was that no one was complaining that the diet didn’t work. All the people I saw who had tried the diet were writing in about all the weight they were losing, how they didn’t feel hungry and how easy it was to stick with.
Now, I don’t know if you’ve ever spent any time in a weight loss forum, but that’s really rare to have no one complaining that they didn’t lose weight on a particular diet. Of course, that made me even more curious as to how Fat Loss 4 Idiots worked and what made it different than other diets, so I decided to dig a little deeper and try to find out exactly what the big secret was about this diet.
OK, so one of the big cornerstones of the Fat Loss for Idiots diet is the "shifting calories theory". Sounds pretty boring, right? Actually it’s a really interesting concept.
The problem with a lot of diets that are out there is that they don’t give your body enough calories and basically your body starts to think that you are literally starving to death. Because of this, your body goes into "starvation mode" and actually slows down your metabolism to conserve energy since it doesn’t know when your next meal is coming.
It doesn’t matter if your mind knows that you can jump in your car and go get food anytime you want - your body just reacts out of instinct because it is trying to keep you alive.
The problem is that when your metabolism slows down it get a lot harder to lose weight - and a lot easier to gain it back when you go off the diet. If you’ve ever been on a really low calorie diet you probably know that even if you lose weight on the diet you gain it right back the minute that you start eating normally again. This is why a lot of us end up yo-yo dieting for years.
Now, Fat Loss 4 Idiots actually works differently and helps to keep your metabolims from slowing down by using the shifting calories theory. Basically, what this means is that it varies the number of calories that you eat each day and the types of foods that you eat to keep your body from thinking you are starving.
That means that you can still lose weight quickly and your metabolism won’t slow down so it will actually be easier to lose weight than if you are on really low calorie diet. It’s a really cool concept. The other thing that is great about not having your metabolism slow down is that it is going to be a lot easier to keep the weight off when you go off the diet.

The second big part of the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet involves your body’s own natural fat burning and fat storing hormones. See, each time we eat our bodies release hormones - some that store fat and some that burn fat.
Fat Loss for Idiots uses foods that maximize the fat burning hormones while minimizing the fat storing hormones. That means that your body becomes a fat burning machine and it is a lot easier to lose weight.
This is really cool because it is working with your body instead of against it like a lot of other diets.
Ever tried a diet where you hate everything that you’re allowed to eat? It’s a lot harder to stick with, right?
Here again, Fat Loss 4 Idiots is different. The diet comes with diet generator that actually creates a meal plan that is customized to the foods that you like.
When you get the program you select foods that you like and tell the diet generator to include them in your menu. If you don’t choose a food it doesn’t go on your meal plan.
That means that the diet will only contain foods that you like and you won’t have to eat anything that you don’t like. It’s like a personlized diet made just for you. That’s really cool since you are going to be a lot more likely to stick with a diet that lets you eat thing that you enjoy.
We all know it’s less about how something works and more about how well something works, right? So how much weight can you really lose on the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet?
The makers of the diet say that you can lose 9 lbs in 11 days. Most people seem to lose anywhere from 5-10 pounds every 11 days that they are on the diet - typically more toward the low end of that like 5-7 lbs. each 11 days.
The diet runs in 14 day cycles - 11 days of dieting and then 3 days where you get to cheat and eat whatever you want. You just repeat the diet as many times as you need to depending on how much weight you want to lose.
That’s really fast weight loss and I think that it is because your metabolism stays running strong during the course of the diet.
I’ve got to say, this skeptic has been converted after all the research that I’ve done on this diet. I’ve even recommended it to my Mom, which is saying a lot since I love her
Although I had my doubts about whether or not this was legit, after researching it and talking to a lot of people who have tried it I believe it is a diet that is based in sound principles and more importantly that really does live up to it’s promises.
I am also really impressed that it comes with a money back guarantee. I think that says a lot about the quality of the product since that’s something you see so rarely in the diet industry.
For $39 I think it is a great deal since there are no other fees associated with it (no expensive food to buy, no membership fees, no supplements and no hidden costs).
If you are looking for a way to see results quickly and get a jump start on losing weight I think it is a great way to go. You can learn more about the diet or try it out here:
